One word to summarise Stormzy’s GSAP London concerts- EPIC
A month after the release of his debut album “Gang Signs & Prayer” UK grime Artist Stormzy takes over O2 Academy Brixton for three sold out nights
Stormy’s stage presence and stage production served to create a spectacular concert. His outstanding performance truly showed why he holds the crown as the first grime artist to achieve a No.1 album on the UK charts!
Stormzy came on stage, more than ready to perform. His eager fans were literally on fire, screaming and waiting for the messiah. We can see a sea of smartphones in the air ready to capture his extravagant entrance.
Growing up in Thornton Heath, South London this concert was a homecoming for Stormzy and served to let everyone know that he is here to take over.
Stormzy’s performance was absolutely amazing. His flow, articulation and overall delivery was impeccable. We could clearly see that he truly enjoyed entertaining the audience, as everyone knew his lyrics to his relatable songs. It was a perfect exchange between the ‘Wicked Skeng Man’ and his fans.
What do you expect from the man with the most watch UK freestyle on YouTube!
He successfully managed to add a modern twist to RnB, Garage and even Gospel music! Emotions ran high as the Ghanaian native had people of all races and religions signing praise and worship when ‘Blinded By Your Grace’ came on.
Supporting acts included Grime legends Wretch 32, Ghetts and Chipmunk. On the last night of his sold out concert, fans were in for a huge surprise as Ed sheeran jumped on stage to perform hit single ‘Shape Of You’; as you can imagine, the crowd went wild!
We’ll definitely in the front row at his next show.
