Are you a filmmaker? Then read this!

In the lead up to Youth Month, TRACE – at the forefront of urban and afro-urban culture – wants to gas you up with R50,000 in cash towards your next documentary film!

 That’s right! If you are a young Gauteng-based creative filmmaker(s) looking for your chance to stake your claim and make a name for yourself in the industry, this is the competition for you.

To enter, simply submit your CV, portfolio and showreel of your best work, before May 20th. The focus should be short stories centred on young creatives that are bubbling under in the scenes of music, art, fashion and culture.

Entrants will be narrowed down to five candidates who will need to tell a story of 90 seconds around the designated theme. From the five candidates, one winner will be selected and announced to create a documentary based on their treatment. They will be given a period of 12 months an amount of R50 000 prize money to create the documentary. The documentary will be broadcast on the TRACE channels as well as the TRACE Play global platform
