Georgia rapper Young Jeezy was arrested early this morning (18 June) in Atlanta for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.
The rapper (real name Jay Jenkins), was stopped for speeding and was arrested on many charges including DUI, reckless driving, speeding, having no tags or proof of insurance and driving with an open container of alcohol.
Jeezy was released this morning on bail and is due back in court on July 17th.
A source close to Jeezy said the rapper had just taken his brand new white corvette to the car wash and the temporary plates had fallen off, which led to his being pulled over by the police. The source added that Jeezy claims the open container belonged to another passenger.
