Looks like will.i.am can now add private investigator to his occupational list.

In an incident that occurred last week, the Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am got his Bentley broken into while it was parked in the Hollywood Hills in California. Over $10,000 worth of good were stolen from the interior, including a brand new iPad and an assortment of jewelry.

However the singer used the tracking device application on his stolen iPad to find the robber’s location, which he gave to the police. Here’s what he had to say about it: “To make a long story short- [I] threw on gps and found my pad on: I located is and the dumb ass criminals and sent 6 cops to their house…recovered all my stuff.” He then went on, “the lesson here is never steal technology.”
