What can we say about Wil.I.am’s solo album ?
The dude said he never thought about going solo, never such an idea would have crossed his mind, he was made to this album and there it is. A dozen of tracks about his past relationships simply called… Songs About Girls.
Musically speaking don’t let the first single “I got it from my mama” fool you. The album is an incredilble mixture of genres, taking its inspiration from the 70’s disco, 80’s new wave and contemporary pop.
This album definitely has a unique vibe, it doesnt sound like the kind of stuff you hear over and over again on the radio.
So if you’re looking for something original, Songs About Girls is probably what you are looking for.
