The wait is over! Whitney Houston is back where she belongs, with her strength at full force in a new album after seven years away from music, the diva brand new singe” I Look To You” was released on July, 28 as a free download on the singer ‘s official website.
“I Look To You” a stripped-down, piano-driven song written by R. Kelly is an homage to an unnamed unconditional source of support that Houston received from family, friends and fans.
The “I Will Always Love You” star identified herself with the lyrics of the song by saying “I know that if I did not have faith, I would have not been able to go through life’s tribulations that I have gone through.”
To Whitney, the song, produced by Tricky Stewart and Harvey Mason, Jr., is an expression of everything she has wanted to say since her last album “Just Whitney” was released seven years ago.
Despite her critics and tribulations over the years, with the right producers and Clive Davis at her side Houston was able to deliver one of her best vocal performances in years that she is known for.
And with so much anticipation and buzz fueled from Houston’s album listening parties in New York and Los Angeles “I Look To You” will be released on August 31st instead of September 1.
