It’s a ritual: every year, US business magazine Forbes publishes the list of the year’s highest earners in the hip-hop industry.
Topping the list is Dr. Dre. It would appear that the rapper-producer doesn’t need to release his long awaited “Detox” album to make ends meet. The man behind the massively popular “Beats by Dr. Dre” headsets made an astounding 110 million dollars this year.
Hot on his heels in second place is Diddy with 45 million dollars, mostly thanks to profits generated by Ciroc vodka.
After a busy year, which included his “Watch The Throne” tour and assorted business ventures, Jay-Z made it into the top 3.
Kanye West is fourth with 35 million.
