With a flow that could rival the rap game and a lyrical content to match his talent Hip/Hop new artist Wale (pronounced wahlay) best known for his 2006 hit “Dig Dug (Shake It)” is finally enjoying the treatment that is reserved to the most experienced and talented MC’s.

After going from an artist spitting rhymes on free mixtapes, Wale earned a name for himself with the popular single “Nike Boots” as well as a series of acclaimed mixtapes, such as last summer’s “Seinfeld Mixtape About Nothing”

With buzz surrounding him, he was able to get the attention of producer Mark Ronson as well as Kanye West and Jay-Z. That was enough to open the door for the son of Nigerian parents who grew up in Washington, D.C to attract the attention of Lady Gaga.
His first single “Chillin” a collaboration with the “Poker Face” singer has been on heavy U.S radio rotation thus giving it the right frame to become a summer success.

Wale’s debut album “Attention: Deficit” is out this summer via Interscope with production from Cool and Dre, Mark Ronson, 9th Wonder, to name a few. It also features guest’s appearances by Chrisette Michele, Jazmine Sullivan and Q-Tip.
