The announcement of her disease a few months ago caused quite a stir, but Venus Williams doesn’t plan on retiring. She has stayed away from the courts since being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, but the American tennis player has apparently been training hard to rapidly return to the competition.
Her sister Serena confirmed the news, saying that Venus would be ready for the Fed Cup matches against Belarus on February 4-5.
The last time the two sisters were both on the American team was in 2007.
