Grammy winning superstar Usher filed for divorce on Thursday, June 11 in Atlanta, GA according to In Touch Magazine… False said the Atlanta-Journal Constitution…
So, is this true or false?
In Touch Magazine said that Usher and his wife have been living apart for the past year. In the two years they’ve been married, Tameka has given birth to two of Usher’s children, 18-month old Usher Raymond V, and 6-month Navyid.
“Usher’s primary concern is for his (two) children, he is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them,” an insider told the Magazine.
But according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, there is NO divorce filing in the Atlanta court system….
“Atlanta-based pop star Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, have not filed for divorce (…) No such filing was found in a check of court records, however.”
Their marriage has been in trouble ever since the two tied the knot. They married in September 2007; in a courtroom wedding just six days after the planned wedding that was suppose to be held at L.A. Reid’s house in the Hamptons was cancelled.
A source told the magazine that the singer has numerous reasons for stepping away from his wife of two years Tameka Foster Raymond. One of those reasons could be Raymond’s decision to travel to Brazil for what turned out to be a near fatal cosmetic procedure. Usher flew to her side, unaware that she was having cosmetic surgery.
Last week, pictures of Usher and another woman walking around in Los Angeles began to surface online.
UPDATE: The Associated Press and other news sources have already been privy to the Raymonds’ divorce papers. According to documents unveiled on Friday, June 12, Usher and his soon to be ex-wife are due to appear for a hearing July 15. At press time neither party had made an official statement.
