They may look menacing, but turns out Essex raver band The Prodigy have a soft side.
The musicians found time amidst the preparation of their forthcoming album, ‘How To Steal A Jet Fighter’, to help out a youth football team.
The Eastleigh Reds Under 13s blue home shirts will now feature the English band’s name and ant logo.
When Prodigy frontman Liam Howlett discovered that the Eastleigh Reds Under-13s trained to the sound of “Warrior’s Dance”, a track from their 2009 album ‘Invaders Must Die’, he offered to sponsor the team.
The junior team’s coach Chris Chapman told NME that the deal was “a good match […] because the lads are a bunch of football prodigies”.
