Tomic requests father’s ejection

A surreal scene took place this weekend during the Miami tennis Masters. Promising young Australian player Bernard Tomic asked the referee to remove his father from the stands.

His father is also his coach and has the reputation of being hard on him. This time, it was too much for the player! He told the referee that his father was coaching him during the game, which is forbidden in tennis. He then asked to the referee to expel his father. In the end, John Tomic just received a warning.

But that didn’t stop Bernard Tomic from losing against David Ferrer. The post match father-son reunion was no doubt pretty tense.
