London-born rapper Tinie Tempah, already a double BRIT Award-winning U.K. superstar, goes global with the U.S. release of his album “Disc-Overy” on May 17. Tempah called in the help of some U.S. stars to make 3 all-new tracks for the album. Rapper Wiz Khalifa is featured on “Til I’m Gone,” singer Ester Dean stars in “Love Suicide” and to top off the list Tempah created “So Addicted.” The album also features special remixes.
The 22-year-old artist is already a phenomenon in the U.K., where “Disc-Overy” debuted at number one and is currently on its way to becoming a certified double-platinum record. Now the MC is ready to take on the U.S. His immensely popular single “Written In The Stars” is already certified gold and climbing to platinum status. Obviously Tinie Tempah is on his way to becoming the first British rapper to achieve major stardom in the U.S in 10 years.
Tinie Tempah’s being heavily promoted at the moment, with magazine features and television appearances spreading the word. He made his U.S. festival debut with a performance at the Coachella music festival in April. He’s currently in the middle of his first American tour, which began with a high-profile set opening for Lupe Fiasco on April 24th, and continues with arena shows with Usher, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Curfew, Nas and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
No doubt about it: you will hear his name some more…
