The Jackson 5

After many rumors, we have the confirmation : The group is back !

The Jackson 5 is slated to launch a reunion tour in 2008 and the most famous of the family is said to be a part of the project.

Jermaine Jackson recently told BBC News that his brother Michael Jackson will appear on tour with the group.

“Michael will be involved,” he said. “We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public.”

The last time all six brothers were together, was in 1984 to promote the Victory album.

There’s been talk of a reunion tour for years, but M.J.’s molestation charges in 2005 held things up.

“There’s been so much going on, getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael’s trial,” Jermaine said. “But we are stronger than ever.”

Jermaine said the band was “in the studio at the moment.”

The Jackson’s — consisting of brothers Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Jermaine, Michael and Randy became famous in the 1970s with hits such as “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)” and “Can You Feel It.”
