The international supergroup, The Black Eyed Peas, have made animated replicas of themselves to continue entertaining fans in multiple, technological ways.
The Baby Peas were created by the group’s leader, will.i.am, to reflect the real life characteristics and adventures of the four members, will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo, and apl.de.ap.
The group’s description page lists them as a “fusion of the ‘Little Rascals’ mixed with the ‘Peanuts Gang,’ with the edge of ‘Family Guy’ and ‘The Simpsons.’
The animated group made its debut appearance in November 2010 alongside its real-life counterparts in the music video, “The Time (Dirty Bit),” which was the first single from their album, “The Beginning.”
The group became an interactive feature when the Baby Peas became integrated into the world’s first 360 degree mobile music video app called “BEP360.” A product of will.i.apps, this application allows fans to snap pictures that embed their favorite Baby Peas within the image and share with others through Facebook and Twitter.
Recently, the characters were featured in two television commercial spots for Salesforce.com’s Chatter.com. The Baby Peas join Chatty, which is an animated cloud who helps the Baby Peas accomplish tasks together.
Dipdive, Inc., has been essential to bringing the Baby Peas to life. Catch the Baby Peas on TV or look for them online in interactive features and adventures…
