The South- East gallery is one of the best-kept secrets of the “Grand Palais” in Paris. Normally closed to the public, this 7,500 sq. ft. area is due to be restored and developed to host events, such as “ T.A.G.”. Until April 26, the gallery will be covered with graffiti! Selected by architect and collector Alain-Dominique Gallizia, 300 of the world’s most significant graffiti artworks, full of emotions, will bring color on the rough undecorated walls of the gallery. This collection forms the most important testimony to street art for over three generations. Artists from all around the world express through their sprays their vision of LOVE, the main theme. Love is universal and still, experienced differently by everyone. The exhibition is a mixture of obvious signs such as hearts, women, men, babies, but also original elements like money, geometric curves, letters, words and other abstracts ways of expression. But this big “cry of love” is a pleasure for the eye, it’s accessible and opens minds even the most opponents of this urban art!
