T.I

Back from prison, the King is hungry! After only two months since his release, T.I. has already recorded over 80 songs for his upcoming seventh album “King Uncaged.” Never lacking in star support on his albums, Tip gets down with electro-pop phenomenon Lady Gaga this time around on “Lick It,” a purposely shocking track that was produced by Gaga’s ace beat man, Red One.

When asked about the record name, T.I. simply said “I think we both have a tendency to shock the world in a lot of different ways.” Well eager fans can expect more drama from the pair, as this will not be the last collaboration between the two A-list artists. “We gonna go back in and record some more songs,” Tip mentioned. Speaking very highly of Gaga overall, Grand Hustle’s main man said “Phenomenal talent. Extremely proud [to work with her]. She’s definitely that good. She knows what she’s doing.” With Gaga being one of the most sought after artists in the industry right now, rapper Game has also shown interest in the “Monster,” for his upcoming “R.E.D. Album.”

Meanwhile, the other “Lick It” star is also working on a collaboration with another hip hop giant, Eminem. Alongside those two mega-stars, T.I. has partnered up for “King Uncaged” with B.o.B, Styles P, Kid Rock, The-Dream and Trey Songz. With a line-up like that, it is pretty much guaranteed that the self-proclaimed King of the South will have enough good material to choose from for the final track-list of the album.

The album’s promotional mixtape, “Fuck a Mixtape” with DJ Drama and DJ MLK, drops on May 27. Following it, “King Uncaged” will hit stores on August 17. The album’s second single “Yeah Ya Know (Takers),” released on May 24, is a banger that reminds us why Tip is so heavily praised. The single does double-duty as a promotional single for his upcoming movie “Takers,” in theaters August 20.
