Amar’e Stoudemire’s older brother, Hazell Stoudemire, 35, died on Monday morning in a car accident in Florida. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
When he heard about the tragedy, the New York power forward flew to Florida to be with his family.
The New York Knicks star has not yet said when he would return. This season is turning out to be particularly difficult for Stoudemire who has been delivering disappointing performances on the court and wasn’t chosen by fans to start in the All Star Game.
