Step Up 3D

After the success of the movie “Step Up 2: The Streets” in 2008, the saga continues! “Step Up 3D” will hit the theaters on August 6th in the U.S. and should be destined to the same success. The film should take the public to another level by introducing new effects thanks to the 3D technology and also new characters. Yet “Step Up 3D” will still be based on what made the franchise famous: an explosive combination of dance and romance.

This time the movie explores a brand new world, following the adventures of New York City street dancers. The group of performers will team up with NYU freshman Moose, played by Adam Sevani, who already starred in “Step Up 2.” The crew will have to measure up to the world’s best hip hop dancers for a competition that will change their lives.

Before the movie hits worldwide theaters this summer, the soundtrack will be out on July 27th. Latin music should be under the spotlight since the album will feature a new track by Puertorican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel titled “Irresistible.” “No Te Quiero,” a song from new artist Sophia Del Carmen featuring Pitbull, will also be in the movie and available on the Latin-American version of the soundtrack. The rest of the soundtrack should definitely be hip hop oriented, with a track by Sophia Fresh, a girl band discovered by T-Pain, and Trey Songz’ latest hit “Already Taken.” Flo Rida, Sean Paul, Estelle, B.o.B are also confirmed to appear on the record.

So if you want to dance this summer, “Step Up 3D” should definitely inspire you for some hot new moves! Check out the official trailer below, and the video of “This Instant” by Sophia Fresh.
