Anja Pärson silences rumors. The former Swedish ski champion revealed her homosexuality on Swedish public radio: “I am tired of being someone else and of playing a game. I owe it to myself and especially to Filippa to tell the truth. The time of rumors is now over.”
Filippa is Pärson’s girlfriend and the couple are expecting a baby. The skier retired last season after years of speculation concerning her private life. Over the course of her career, the Swede won 6 Olympic medals and 11 world championship medals. She was one of the greatest skiers of her generation.
