International singer Shakira is set to star in her first Bollywood film. The Columbian singer will play the role of Indian Goddess Kaali in the film “Kaali – The Warrior Goddess.” The film will be shot in 3D and filming will take place in London and an Eastern European city. Producer Karan Aurora confirmed that Shakira agreed to be on board. The filmmakers and the star’s representatives are in the process of discussing the final details and conditions of Shakira’s role in the film.
There were two reasons for this decision. One, the studio wanted to cast an international star and two, someone who is tan. Luckily, Shakira fits both requirements. Shakira has become a household name in India and all over the world with her “Waka Waka” number in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Let’s hope India accepts her portrayal as an Indian Goddess.
