Epic Records’ platinum recording artist Sean Kingston is set to release his sophomore album, “Tomorrow,” in September. “Tomorrow” is the follow-up to Kingston’s 2007 self-titled debut album, which produced three Top 10 singles including “Beautiful Girls,” which reached No. 1 in 21 countries.
“Fire Burning,” the singer-songwriter’s first single off his new album, was certified platinum in just 10 weeks.
This time around Kingston has collaborated with a variety of producers and artists including J.R. Rotem (who produced Kingston’s debut), RedOne (who has produced for Lady Gaga), and The Smeezingtons (who produced for Flo Rida). Wyclef Jean is also featured on the album, contributing production and vocals on the track “Ice Cream Girl.”
“Tomorrow” is described as “a buoyant collection of pop-fueled feel-good anthems and dance-floor clarion calls” that includes everything from electro-pop, to rock, reggae and R&B.
Of his latest effort Kingston says, “I called it ‘Tomorrow’ because the album is about everything that’s happened to me over the past two years and how much I’ve grown and changed since my debut came out. The songs are about me being hopeful and looking toward the future. We don’t know what tomorrow holds for us.”
