Sade

Soulful singer Sade will release her new album, the first in nine years, on February 8th 2010. According to her official site, “Soldier of Love” will be the singer’s first project since critically-acclaimed “Lovers Rock” was released in 2000.

The 50-year old reclusive soul signer has regrouped with the band that bears her name to deliver this new effort, which was produced by Sade’s longtime collaborator and band member Mike Pela.

Known for her soulful and timeless sound, Sade has been in the spotlight for the last twenty-five years. She has enjoyed worldwide success since her debut album “Diamond Life” was released in 1984. Her last five albums have landed in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200, selling more than 50 million copies worldwide. Impressive!

The gifted lyricist and musician, who is known for taking long breaks between albums, has won three Grammy Awards so far including one in 1986 for Best New Artist, one in 1994 for Best R&B Performance for “No Ordinary Love” and again in 2002 for Best Pop Vocal Album with “Lovers Rock.”

It has been a long wait but fans can rest assured that the 2010 Sade will once again bring back her sexy vibes and emotions with “Soldier of Love.”
