Ryan Leslie

R&B singer Ryan Leslie will be releasing his sophomore album “Transition” on November 3rd, only a few months after his self-titled debut released in February 2009.

The new project will give fans an in-depth look at the mature songwriter’s personal life, with the entire project revolving around an incomplete romantic affair that really took place last summer, according to R. Les himself…

The 11-song “Transition” will showcase the singer‘s feelings and reflections throughout this love quest that took him around the globe. His effort documents step-by-step his journey, desperately longing to be in a relationship with a woman he can’t have.

Music appears almost like a form of therapy for Leslie, his songs being a great medium to express his frustration and eventually enable him to overcome the failure of this impossible relationship. Through creating music, the artist rebuilds his strengths to move on to the next stage of his life.

Ryan Leslie’s career began with an internship in music production where he was quickly noticed by hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs who signed him to Bad Boy Entertainment. Later on, the musically gifted Ryan Leslie established his own company: the NextSelection Lifestyle Group and he first made a name for himself by producing Cassie’s debut album, including the commercial successes “Long Way 2 Go” and “Me & U.” Since then Leslie has produced numerous tracks for artists like Fabolous, Beyoncé or Kid CuDi.

R. Les also made the headlines for his alleged relationship with former protégée Cassie, a romance that turned sour when Bad Boy head-honcho Diddy reportedly stole the Bad Boy princess from him…

But Ryan Leslie is back for good with this second album! To find out if Leslie gets the girl that he desires and persuades her to give up the goods in “Zodiac,” and gets to kick with her at her crib on “Sunday Night,” well “Transition” hits stores on November 3rd.
