Influenced by the biggest names in the music industry such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince and James Brown, R&B singer/ songwriter and rapper Ryan Leslie released last week the video of his new single “You’re Not My Girl” from his sophomore album “Transition”.

“You’re Not My Girl,” a funky song with an up tempo beat has certainly the “transition” of becoming a fan’s favorite on the dance floor.

Leslie, a Harvard graduate is from a multi-cultural background of Caribbean Dutch, Chinese, and African descent. He self taught himself how to play the piano. In 2007 his debut album “Ryan Leslie” was released and it produced two hit singles with “Diamond Girl,” and “Addiction” with pop singer Cassie. Leslie has also written and produced tracks for artists like 702, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Carl Thomas, and New Edition.

“Transition” will feature collaboration with Pusha T of Clipse as well as songs like “Never Gonna Break Up” and “Somethin’ That I Like”.

The album will be released under Universal/Motown on November 3.
