Rory McIlroy lost more than the British Open this week, he also split with long time girlfriend Holly Sweeny. His management company confirmed the claim “Rory McIlroy’s long-time relationship with Holly Sweeney came to an amicable end before the Open Championship.”
Rumors have arisen regarding a new romance between McIlroy and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. The couple has been semi-courting for the last month, meeting in Hamburg during the World Heavyweight title match, the tennis star later tweeted “Fantastic fight! Also met Rory McIlory, who was sitting just behind me:) Really down to earth great guy:).”
The couple was captured on camera during a dinner in London. The golf prodigy poked fun at the world number one on her 21st birthday tweeting “You’re getting older.” Wozniacki flirted back “At least now you will be able to buy me a drink in the US” later denoting a prior date “Not only in Hamburg”.
