Jay-Z has teamed up with Chelsea’s Ashley Cole to create another famed 40/40 club, this one in London. Musicians, sports icons, and celebrities are sure to congregate for top notch American cuisine and entertainment. Perhaps more importantly though, part of each month’s proceeds will go to local music and sports charities for under-privileged children. The sixth installment of the rap philanthropist’s restaurant aims to employ an adept albeit chronically unemployed crowd. The Roc-A-Fella stated in a recent press release “I’m excited about working with Ashley and NVA Entertainment Group on a range of new projects and The 40/40 London is going to be the hottest place in town.” The eatery’s exact location will be announced in August; perhaps the Brooklyn born rapper has swum across the pond and plans to stay.
