Rihanna’s new single “Russian Roulette” debuted worldwide Tuesday October 20th on the radio and on the official Rihanna website.
“Russian Roulette” was written and produced by fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo, whose long track record with Rihanna includes the #1 hit “Unfaithful,” their Top 10 duet “Hate That I Love You” and #1 hit “Take A Bow.” The track shows a darker side of the popstar, focusing on the edgy state-of-mind the singer appears to be in following her recent personal troubles.
“Rated R,” the long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s worldwide multi-platinum “Good Girl Gone Bad” will hit stores on November 23.
“Good Girl Gone Bad” was the third album release in less than two years by the 21-year old Barbados native Rihanna. It followed-up 2006’s platinum “A Girl Like Me,” which contained the back-to-back hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful” and her gold debut from 2005, “Music Of the Sun,” featuring the worldwide smash, “Pon De Replay.”
