Rihanna sure knows how to make the most of her surroundings. While on the European leg of her “Last Girl on Earth” tour, the Barbadian beauty used her stop in Paris on April 29 and 30 to shoot the video for her single “Te Amo.” The track is the next international single from Rihanna’s platinum selling “Rated R” album.
The “Te Amo” video, which was shot in the heart of the French capital, is rumored to feature a love story that plays out on the romantic Parisian streets. The video is guaranteed to feature a bevy of gorgeous ladies, as the French website casting.fr was on the hunt for 10 beautiful, sexy, and glamorous girls for Rihanna’s video. Long-time Rihanna collaborator Anthony Mandler was on hand to direct the video. Anthony Mandler has already directed videos for some of Riri’s most popular songs, including “Take a Bow,” “Disturbia,” “Rehab,” “Russian Roulette,” and “Wait Your Turn.”
While Europe has “Te Amo” as the next single from Rihanna’s latest album, the current U.S. single is “Rockstar 101.” That video wrapped up, as announced by the artist on her Twitter page, on April 12 in Los Angeles. Rihanna allowed her followers to get a sneak peek at the video when she posted pictures from the shoot. “On the set of Rockstar 101 with Travis Barker,” Rihanna tweeted, “what do you think?”
Although the “Last on Girl Earth” tour could have been compromised if Riri’s recent on stage injury in Switzerland were serious, fans are feeling fortunate that she is in great condition. She will continue the tour until it wraps up on June 6 in London. The singer will then move on to her North American tour from July 2 to August 26, with pop artist Ke$ha joining in on the fun.
