The wait is finally over Rihana’s new album and now its payback time for Riri. “Rated R,” the fourth studio album of the singer, was released on Monday November 23rd.
The album, her first release since the Chris Brown assault last February, is definitely darker than her three previous efforts that were fueled by Caribbean influences like Reggae, Soca, Dancehall, blended with pop and R&B vibes.
This new record features collaborations with major artists such as Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, and will.i.am. The first single, “Russian Roulette,” was written by Ne-Yo and Riri and is currently sitting at #16 on the Billboard 100. The second official single, “Hard,” was written by The-Dream and co-produced by Tricky Stewart. Also featuring rapper Young Jeezy, the track is currently #20 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Wait Your Turn” the third single from the album is set to be release sometimes in early 2010.
With a new look mostly composed of sexy black leather outfit sported in lascivious poses and a definitely darker edge, the bets are now open to see if the Barbados native will manage to debut at #1 on the charts…
