It’s not the first time that we had a celebrity announce their true sexuality to the world. Ricky Martin, Latin pop star who is most famous for the hit single “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” admitted on his blog on Monday, March 29th that he is a “proud fortunate homosexual man.”
He went on to discuss that for years he was advised to not talk about his sexuality due to the fear of the truth ruining his career. Martin’s decision to finally open up about his sexuality began after he began his memoirs. Towards the conclusion of his blog, Martin wrote, “Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital parts of my evolution. I am blessed to be who I am.” Martin is a proud single father to twin boys.
Now that Ricky Martin is out of the closet, will his singing career really go down the drain? Time will tell.
