This year’s version of the annual Calabar Carnival festival in Nigeria, also tagged as “Africa’s Biggest Street Party” will definitely be one to remember. The event occurs every December and has become a tourist hotspot of sorts. Apart from all the lively and fun events set to take place this year, the organizers have announced that Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston and American rapper Rick Ross will be performing at the event.
Kingston is scheduled to perform on Friday, December 16 at the UJ Esuene Sports Stadium, while Ricky Ross will perform on December 28th. Popular 80’s & 90’s Soul and Funk group Kool and the Gang are billed to perform all of their hits at the festival.
Also performing at the event alongside Ross and Kingston are Nigerian artists Psquare, Banky W, Wizkid, and OJB. Comedian Julius Agwu will also attend to provide comic relief.
