TMZ reported earlier today, Friday, October 14, that Rick Ross became unconscious on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Memphis, Tennessee.
A witness told the website that the Bawse suffered from what appeared to be a seizure and was subsequently given CPR by a doctor on board. The plane turned around and landed at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. Awaiting paramedics strapped a blacked-out, but breathing Teflon Don onto a stretcher and revived the rapper as he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The corrections officer turn rapper was en route to “Midnight Madness,” a show sponsored by the University of Memphis’s basketball team. Ross, who appears to have recovered from the incident, said he will still perform at the event.
Twitter blew up after the incident. Maybach Music-signee Wale tweeted, “I just talked to Ross…he’s 100 pct ok…@tmz #dontpanic #dontpanic #mmg !!!! #gfid dec 13th!.”
Rozay also took to Twitter, responding to a distressed message from Rap Radar journalist Elliott Wilson, tweeting, “@elliottwilson never dat homie..we ouchea #mmg powercircle!!!!”
The Florida native’s DJ, Sam Sneaker, also reassured Twitter followers by tweeting, “I’m wit @rickyrozay now he good…”
Rick Ross’s fifth solo album, “God Forgives, I Don’t,” is scheduled for a December release.
