Lee Daniel’s “Empire” is one of the hottest shows in the US, and actors and musicians are generally lining up to get a role. The producer/rapper P.Diddy withdrew his adopted son Quincy from the casting after he learned that his son will have to sign contracts over his music rights with 20th Century Fox TV.Reliable sources claim that Quincy was guaranteed to have a role on “Empire”, maybe the role of the son of a family running a Hip-Hop label (which doesn’t really change from real life), but his father was astern when he was told that his son will have to sign several deals giving the network the rights to use his songs for free, and Diddy doesn’t agree with the fact that his son will give away some of his music rights to Fox.“Diddy kicked up a huge stink and called all the top brass at 20th Century Fox TV to get them to change their rules over music rights,” but he didn’t get his way. “He said there was no way his son was signing over his intellectual property. So he banned him from the show.”The singer and actor Quincy, 23, who has just released his first single “Friends First”, is the son of producer Al B. Sure! and former Diddy’s girlfriend Kim Porter. Combs adopted him when he was in a long term relationship with Kim. The latest rumor about Quincy is that he’s still on the cast for the second season. “Lee’s super excited about having Quincy on the show, we’re told, as long as his dad relents on the intellectual property issue”. The show had and still attracts many celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Timbaland, TI, Ashton Kutcher, Rita Ora …Do you think that Diddy is right to manage his son’s affairs ?
