T-Pain takes us to church with new pop album?
Word is that T-Pain will do a gospel/hip-hop/pop album. Interesting right? Perhaps he feels like he needs to prove he isn’t a modern day minstrel show… *coughs* Adult Swim’s “Freaknik” musical.
This is what Pain told Myspace: “A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I am a deeply spiritual person. Dude, I go to church just as much as I go to the strip club. That’s saying something.” I’ll leave it up the readers to render the last verdict on that comment…
Lupe Fiasco’s new super crew
Looks like Lupe has something new and refreshing cooking up for hip-hop. Lupe took to twitter to announce what it seems to be a super group by the name of “All City Chess Club.” This group is subjected to include of course Lupe Fiasco, Asher Roth, B.o.B, The Cool Kids, Charles Hamilton, Blu, J.Cole, Wale and the youngest in charge – next to Justin Bieber of course, Diggy Simmons. These artists have already started working together and were supposedly in the studio a few nights ago.
Redman put a ring on it!
If this rumor is true, we congratulate Redman and his long-time fiancée on their wedding! No pictures have surfaced the web so far, but strong sources say the two jumped the broom.
West Coast Unite!
Supposedly Ice Cube, Game, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were all in the studio… which resulted in a track named “Strictly W.E.S.T.,” which is noted to be on Game’s upcoming album, “RED.”
Lately, Ice Cube has been going at everybody’s neck with diss records. But Cube took to his blog to say that he wasn’t taking jabs at Dre, who was one of the artists in speculation of being a victim. As far as the other rappers, who seem to be a lot of upcoming West Coast artists… Cube did not clear his name for the accusations…
The west will be making a lot of noise this year. Game’s “RED” album is due in August, Ice Cube will be releasing an album in July and Dr. Dre’s long-awaited “Detox’ should be dropping around September or October.
Loosie Rumors
Word is that Trey Songz has a reality show in the works… T.I. and Kid Rock may be coming together for a new record that will possibly be on T.I.’s new album! 50 Cent is currently working on his new album, which is titled “Black Magic” and he states that he will be recruiting new G-Unit members… Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks are the only ones who remain apart of the gorilla gang. Though it’s his solo debut, Big Boi states that Andre 300 will indeed be present on “Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chino Dusty.” That’s good news. Outkast forever.
