Rumors of the week…
Bitter Tila says “Rihanna has Herpes!”
Last week, Rihanna went on the popular nationally syndicated radio show, Big Boi’s Neighborhood, in L.A. During her interview she was asked if there were any famous people she would like to pick up a remote control and turn off. Rihanna said:
“Tiffany Evans. She’s just mouthing off for no reason actin’ like she knows me. The whole devil worshipping thing, she put out this whole statement… Oh, Tila Tequila! Scrap Tiffany Evans! Hell yes. Same thing. I don’t like when people talk about me and don’t know me and don’t know what they’re sayin’ and sound stupid.
For those who don’t remember, Tiffany (a young singer best known for her single “Promise Ring”) posted a message on Twitter after the release of Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” single. The tweet claimed that Rihanna is a devil worshipper. Before Rihanna appeared on a “20/20” special to talk about the Chris Brown incident, Reality TV star Tila (who was also recently domestically abused by a celebrity boyfriend) said RiRi should have come forward to talk about the abuse.
We haven’t heard any response from Tiffany yet, but after hearing Rihanna’s take on her, Tila flipped. She posted a message on her website titled “Rihanna has Herpes!! Omg!!!!” The detailed (mostly with Tila’s feelings) post alleges that sources close to both performers told Tila about Rihanna’s supposed STD.
Jay-Z addresses his religious beliefs
Another star often accused of Devil worship, Jay-Z, addressed the rumors while on New York’s Hot 97 radio station. After a preacher posted a youtube video claiming that Jay-Z denounces Jesus in his popular track “Empire State of Mind,” Jay discussed the matter with radio personality Egypt on New York’s Hot 97:
Jay: “He should be arrested, seriously. My position is not unlike anyone else who ascends to the top of their field. That comes with the game. But that’s crazy. That might be the craziest one I’ve had.”
Egypt: “But do you go to church?”
Jay: “Nah, I’m more spiritual than [having] organized religion. I have a personal relationship with God. …I believe in karma, I believe in cause and effect…but religion, I have my opinions about religion.
Nas and Kelis finally reach settlement
Former hip-hop couple Nas and Kelis have agreed to a financial settlement in their divorce proceedings. According to media reports, Nas has agreed to pay his ex-wife $51,000 per month. Sources say Kelis was happy with the settlement agreement. Enough already, Kelis just signed a $175,000 contract with Interscope Records. Why can’t they just reconcile, it will be cheaper for Nas and free up time for both of them to work on their music!
R. Kelly wants to reconstruct his image
R&B singer R. Kelly said that he’s tired of being misunderstood. To prove his point, the singer will be writing a book. “I’m writing this book as Robert, not R. Kelly,” he said. “I’m tired of being misunderstood. I will show you the tears, fears, and sweat. I will open my heart and reveal the good in my life as well as all the drama. I want to tell it like it is.” Now if that really was Mr. Feelin’ On Your Booty in the infamous sex tape that led to child pornography charges against him, would he really tell us all the gritty details in a book?? Just saying…
