Nicki Minaj’s Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape is now available for the first time on streaming services. Originally released in 2009, the new streaming version is expanded with new tracks, including “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions,” and her remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.”

“Bitches act like they want action/heard they want action/bitch we ain’t duckin’ no action,” she raps on “Fractions,” her first new solo offering since she released “Yikes” in February 2020. “I’m bout to gih dem dat traction, send a distraction— then I’ma line ’em like fractions.”

In addition to her dropping “Yikes” last year, she has also been featured on a number of other artists’ tracks. Recent collaborations include Mike Will Made It’s “What That Speed Bout?!” with Youngboy Never Broke Again, and she dropped verses and put a twist on the hook for the remix of Sada Baby’s “Whole Lotta Choppas,” She also teamed up on Mr. Eazi and Major Lazer’s “Oh My Gawd,” Ty Dolla $ign’s “Expensive,” A$AP Ferg’s “Move Ya Hips” and Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix and teamed up with Tekashi 6ix9ine for “Trollz.”

Nicki Minaj Re-releases ‘Beam Me Up Scotty,’ Featuring Drake, Lil Wayne & More: Listen

The Queen is back! Nicki Minaj goes interstellar with a rerelease of her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, which is now available for streaming and features new guests spots from Drake and Lil Wayne.

Spanning 23 songs and almost 80 minutes from start to finish, Scotty features three new tracks, “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions,” and “Crocodile Tears (Remix)” with Skillibeng.

Also, the Trinidad-born star goes full-retro for the compilation’s revamped Star Trek-themed artwork.

Minaj’s last studio album was 2018’s Queen, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Queens rapper had the Barbz buzzing when she teased something coming on Friday. Now we know. It dropped at midnight and you can stream it below.

The New York Times

Nicki Minaj Reunites With Lil Wayne and Drake, and 13 More New Songs

In honor of Nicki Minaj’s still-incendiary 2009 debut mixtape “Beam Me Up Scotty” finally arriving on streaming services, she’s organized a little YMCMB family reunion. “Seeing Green” is more of a status update than a club banger à la the trio’s classic “Truffle Butter,” but everyone is still in fine form. Wayne, as usual, plays the gonzo court jester, and he seizes the opportunity to unload all of those pandemic-related rhymes he’s been holding onto for the last year (“I put you six feet deep, I’m being socially distant”). Nicki locks back into her standard eviscerate-the-haters flow, and Drake continues to rap with a precision and bite that suggests, as did the recent “Scary Hours 2,” that whenever his promised “Certified Lover Boy” arrives, it might actually be worth the wait. “I played 48 minutes on a torn meniscus,” he boasts, “who’s subbing?” (But maybe see a doctor about that, Drake — it’s serious!) Nicki Minaj is back! Rapper rereleases ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’ mixtape on streaming services with new songs

Nicki Minaj is back and she’s making Fridays a little more pink while “Seeing Green.”

After blowing up the internet with a tease Monday, the singer on Friday rereleased her 2009 mixtape “Beam Me Up Scotty” on streaming services and added three new tracks to the original project. Before dropping the new music, the “Itty Bitty Piggy” rapper went on Instagram live to celebrate.

“I knew if I just rereleased the mixtape without putting anything new, I knew y’all would cuss me the (expletive) out,” Minaj said.

The mixtape’s new adds include “Fractions,” a “Crocodile Teeth” remix with Skillibeng and a return to the Young Money team “Seeing Green” which features Lil Wayne and Drake.

“Fractions” brings back Minaj’s “bad guy” rapping after what she described as having “writer’s block” on Instagram. She spends the duration of song spitting bars without any interruptions of a chorus: “I’m ’bout to give them that traction, send a distraction / Then I’ma line ’em like fractions / Took a brеak, I let ’em live, look it all ‘еm eatin’ / But these (expletive) gon’ be mad once I call this meetin’ “

Drake made a surprise appearance on Minaj’s announcement and talked about the song “Seeing Green” which the “Scary Hours” rapper sent to Minaj.

“It didn’t feel right with you not being on it,” Drake told Minaj. “It was fun the other way but it’s epic this way.”

Minaj also announced that she will have an album on the way.

Earlier this week, Minaj returned to social media after a months-long hiatus hinting that something was coming. “F R I D A Y 🏽” she captioned the post alongside two photos of herself posing in hot pink Crocs, surrounded by Chanel and holding two heart pillows over her body.

Her post had fans hoping for new music and celebrities chimed in.

“LETS GOOOOOO,” Kehlani responded to the tweet.

“Missed you sis,” wrote Keke Palmer.

The “Super Bass” rapper hasn’t released a new album since 2018’s “Queen” and her last single was “MEGATRON,” which arrived in June of 2019. The rapper’s first studio album “Pink Friday” was released in 2010 and went triple platinum.

In September 2019, Minaj shocked fans when she announced she was stepping away from music. “I’ve decided to retire & have my family,” she wrote on Twitter.

She later backtracked on her comments in an interview with Billboard.

“I love music and interacting with fans, so I can’t really see taking myself completely away. But I want to be open to other possibilities in my life,” she said three months after her initial announcement. “I do believe it is important to become a woman outside of the magnifying glass. I have to make sure that I’m well-rounded as a human being.”

The 38-year-old star is growing her family.

On Sept. 30, 2020, she and husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. The couple has not shared their son’s name, but Minaj posted some adorable pics earlier this year.

“Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I’ve ever taken on,” she wrote alongside the photos. “Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time.”

The new mom announced her pregnancy in July with a series of bikini baby bump photos. “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude,” she wrote.

Minaj and Petty tied the knot in October 2019 after nearly a year of dating. Their relationship made waves after Petty’s criminal history came to light. Petty is a registered, Level 2 sex offender on New York State’s Sex Offender Registry.

PAPER

Today Belongs to the Barbz

Good morning! Remember the perfect year that was 2009? Today we get to time travel back there, because Nicki Minaj has released her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape on streaming services for the first time, to celebrate its 12-year anniversary.

As teased on social media all week, Minaj included two new songs, “Seeing Green” feat. her longtime Young Money collaborators Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions” (invented math) and a remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.” A few tracks from the original mixtape didn’t make the cut, such as “Feel Free” and “Mind on My Money.”

Nicki as a general rule doesn’t upload any of her mixtapes to streaming. She told Barbz that she was making an exception for Beam Me Up Scotty as a treat for her extremely loyal fans. “This is the 12-year anniversary of the mixtape, and a lot of you have been there with me for so fricking long,” she said during last night’s much-anticipated Instagram Live. “So because this is the anniversary, we thought we would do something special.”

Minaj also confirmed she has a brand new album in the works, as follow up to 2018’s Queen. Other memorable highlights from the livestream: Minaj saying hi to Halle Berry and Drake, and revealing that Papa Bear recently said his first word, “Mama.” She may or may not share a video of that moment soon.

Minaj also said that fans on her mailing list will get an exclusive letter soon revealing more about what she’s been doing during her hiatus. It sounds like she went through a stint of writer’s block in recent months, but “all of a sudden” her inspiration returned, with the help of Drake, who insisted she appear on “Seeing Green.”

“When you’re gone, I’m speaking for everybody on the Live, when I say we really miss you,” Drake told Minaj during the slightly chaotic stream. Seconded!

We hadn’t been able to sleep since Monday, when Minaj blessed us with her first Instagram post since January. It featured footwear-of-the-moment Crocs, as well as Chanel-branded candy. The post was cryptically captioned with just the word “F R I D A Y” and a crossed finger emoji. In a follow-up post, Minaj posted a few lines from “Fractions.”

Despite vaguely entering retirement and giving birth to her first child over the past year, she’s actually remained fairly active in music, memorably putting down a verse for Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix and, uh, 6ix9ine’s “TROLLZ.” More upcoming Nicki content: an upcoming HBO documentary series about her life and artistry, dates TBA.

Today, truly, belongs to the Barbz. And they deserve it. Listen to Beam Me Up Scotty, below.

The MixtapE! Presents Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry and More New Music Musts

Cheers to the weekend and Nicki Minaj’s return.

The Queen of Rap had the Barbz in a frenzy all week long over her social media teases of something big to come, and she did not disappoint with the drop of three new singles—including one, “Seeing Green,” featuring longtime collaborators Lil Wayne and Drake—alongside the streaming release of her 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty.

Nicki Minaj — “Itty Bitty Piggy”

The big headline out of Beam Me Up Scotty arriving on streaming may be the new material Nicki attached to the tracklist, but, if we’re being honest, we’re just thrilled that this fiercely frenetic standout is finally available to us on the streaming service of our choice more than a decade after its initial release.

Nicki Minaj Drops Three New Songs, One With Drake and Lil Wayne – Listen

The game’s been missing Nicki Minaj. On Friday (May 14), the Young Money rapper makes her return with new music.

Nicki finally released her 2008 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty, to streaming services but with some additions. This version features some new songs including “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions” and “Crocodile Tears (Remix)” with Skillibeng.

Following a four-month hiatus from social media, Nicki first announced the new music was afoot on Monday (May 10) via Instagram. She posted a photo of herself seemingly nude covered by pillows that was simply captioned “Friday.” She’s been continuously promoting the new music in. new posts on social media in the days leading up to its release. She also did an Instagram Live session in the hour before the mixtape dropped that included a conversation with Drake.

This is a welcomed sign from Nicki fans who have been fiending for music from Harajuku Barbie, especially after there were rumblings that she would retire in 2019. The last year-and-a-half has been a life-changing time for Nicki outside of music. Last September, she and her husband, Kenneth Petty, welcome their first child, a boy.

She also faced family legal issues in January of 2020, when her brother, Jelani Maraj, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after being convicted of a predatory sexual assault. In February of this year, her father, Robert Maraj, was killed in a hit-and-run accident in New York.

During that timeframe, Nicki has only appeared sparingly on tracks, most notably making appearances on 6ix9ine’s “Trollz,” Mike Will Made-It’s “What That Speed ‘Bout!?” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and releasing her own single “Yikes.”

Now, the queen is back.

The surprise YMCMB reunion has fans going wild.

The Barbz believed that Nicki Minaj would be returning on Friday (May 14) with a new collaborative single with Rihanna after the two ladies appeared on Instagram wearing the same luxury heels, but they had it all wrong. Those uber-fans were correct in assuming that Minaj had a single on the horizon, but no one expected for her to arrive with “Seeing Green” with Drake and Lil Wayne.

It’s a Young Money Cash Money Billionaires reunion and Hip Hop is going wild. Just ahead of that midnight drop, Nicki took to Instagram Live to share that her 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty, would finally arrive on streaming services along with three new tracks, including “Seeing Green” with Drizzy and Weezy.

Minaj has promised that she’s been diligently working on her forthcoming, highly anticipated album that fans have been asking for since the release of her last hit, Queen. Nicki has been enjoying motherhood, but judging by “Seeing Green,” she’s ready to make a triumphant return. Stream “Seeing Green” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

No cap, I’m on the capsules, I done relapsed, boo
But I been on my feet since Cinderella lost her glass shoe
That cash blue but I’m still seein’ green
I’m in the bathroom and I’m peein’ lean
My b*tch a vacuum, I told her
Keep me clean it seems serene
