It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years since Ne-Yo released his last album, “Year of the Gentleman.” The album gained the artist international success and set him up as a major contender on the R&B scene. Well it seems as though Ne-Yo will finally make his long awaited return, with a full-length LP (still untitled) set to drop this September.
The song “Beautiful Monster” has been named as the first single off the new album. Similar to the first single from his last album (“Closer”), Ne-Yo puts the traditional R&B rhythms to the side and goes for a more European-Club sound. The song was produced by duo Stargate, the group who is responsible for Ne-Yo’s biggest hits “So Sick,” “Because of You,” and the aforementioned “Closer.”
