The astounding Nasir “Nas” Jones has won an Emmy Award for his work on a Liberian documentary, which he titled “Survival 1.” The rapper directed and produced, directed and scored the music for the film.
“Survival 1″ trails the journey of amputee victims in the Liberian civil war who form a soccer team and eventually become champions.
“After all these years of making music, I am honored to have this be the first award I ever won of this magnitude,” Nas said about his win.
“An Emmy before a Grammy. Crazy sh**!”
