Nas has a new album on the way before the end of the year, and its name is sure to be a conversation starter. During an Oct. 12 concert at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, the rapper told the crowd the album would be called “N*gga.”
Def Jam had no comment on the title.
The set will be the follow-up to last year’s “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” Nas’ Def Jam debut. The set has sold 743,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Nas also has to be the subject of a “Greatest Hits” album, which arrives Nov. 6 via his former label home, Columbia.
