Mos Def’s ex-wife, Alana Wyatt, recently released a book detailing her short relationship with the rapper/actor.
Wyatt was married to the Brooklyn-bred emcee in a ceremony last year. Her book entitled, Breaking the Code of Silence, will detail her short lived marriage to Mos as well as her own life.
Described as part biography, part cautionary tale, Wyatt writes of her rough upbringing, aiming to educate and inspire other women and to promote independence.
Wyatt is a 29 year-old mother who currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. Besides being an author, she also appeared in Snoop Dogg’s video for “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
Breaking the Code of Silence is in stores now.
