Mos Def

Kanye West has made a new addition to his label after recently signing rapper Pusha T. The newest artist is none other than Mos Def.

Kanye and Mos Def talked about the deal and discussed their musical relationship in October’s issue of the Hip-Hop magazine XXL. Mos’ decision to join G.O.O.D. Music followed the release of his last album “The Ecstatic” in 2009 with label Downtown Records, which he still is a part of.

The two rappers have collaborated before on West’s albums “College Dropout” and “Graduation.” Their recent collaboration was released on September 17 for the slow-moving track “Lord, Lord, Lord” with Swiss Beatz, Raekwon and Charlie Wilson.

With the signing of Mos Def, Kanye continues searching for artists who have a devoted following outside the mainstream and are ready to break down creative barriers. So who’s next?
