Mlue Jay drops “Vinfluence” visuals from his latest album “Less Talk, More Action”

Award-winning artist, Mlue Jay returns with the release of new visuals for his latest single “Vinfluence”.

Keeping up the momentum, reigning Zimbabwean-born artist Mlue Jay has released new visuals for his latest single “Vinfluence” taken off from his new album “Less Talk, More Action”.

“Vinfluence” is a tribute to the late Zimbabwean Rapper Cal Vin. On this record, Mlue Jay pays his tribute and gives prop on how Cal Vin used to put pressure on his work when it came to the music industry. Rapper Cal Vin was an independent artist that made it look incredible for artists to be Indie.

Serving as a tribute song to the late Cal Vin the music video shines through the great memories of the award-winning Zimbabwean rapper, and tying off loose ends the lyrics sit well in telling his story.

“The song is different from my other songs as I am more rapping in Vernac. I worked with Cal Vin on a song titled, Thula and we never got to shoot a video for it, but working on this tribute I had to make sure I shoot for it to make his name memorable,” said Mlue Jay.

“Vinfluence is influenced by Cal Vin and Cal Vin used to do beats all by himself. He would record, mix and master himself and that also influenced me to write and produce this song. I recorded and made the beat by myself at YeahWeLit Entertainment studio in Johannesburg. I then worked with Crown Prince on the visuals and I did the editing myself.”

Talking to Mdub2six5, Mlue Jay was also able to share some insight into his growth as an artist, the juggling of projects, and the processing of success from his new album.

“I have been taking time to grow my craft and I am an unsigned artist so it is an advantage for me cause I can decide on when to drop. Fans should expect more visuals and more collaborations from me this year. I have already dropped two music videos off my new album Less Talk, More Action and I am yet to drop more off the album.”

Since its drop “Less Talk, More Action” has already garnered over 200k streams on digital streaming platforms. In its success, Mlue Jay has also bagged a deal with Vodacom which allows fans to be able to get the soundtracks as their favorite caller tunes.
