Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan has appointed basketball player and Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade as his next heir to the Air Jordan brand with a new sneaker that will be available on Saturday, February 13, 2010.

Nike and Jordan believed that adding Wade, a native of Chicago who has passion for the game and has the same characteristics that Jordan portrayed as a player, will bring another winner to its Air Jordan family that has included A-list athletes like Derek Jeter, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul in the past.

The release of the shoe, the first see-through performance sneaker that will feature a unique thermoplastic urethane window, proves that the Air Jordan brand that has been in existence for over two decades has lasting power.

According to Nike Executives, the shoe has been designed to be trendy, stylish and very high in performance compared to the previous collections.

Ever since Michael Jordan joined the Nike brand during his career as a Chicago Bulls player in the 80’s, his shoes became the #1 brand for fans and basketball players from all around the world. His legend will continue to live on with the Air Jordan brand and there’s no doubt that on December 25, Dwyane Wade will continue the legacy by debuting the shoes during a game with the New York Knicks.
