Michael Jackson’s movie about his final months will arrive in theaters on October 28, two days earlier than first announced.

According to Sony Pictures the film about the “King of Pop” will feature never seen rehearsal footage of Jackson preparing for his series of comeback concerts at London’s O2 Arena before his death on June 25 at age 50 of cardiac arrest..

“For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before — this great artist at work,” stated Kenny Ortega, Director and Choreographer for “This Is It”. Of the movie Ortega added “It is raw, emotional, moving and powerful footage that captures his interactions with the ‘This Is It’ collaborators that he had personally assembled for this once in a lifetime project.”

Set for a two week limited engagement, the movie will also offer select sequences in 3-D and feature interviews with some of Jackson’s friends and collaborators.

Tickets are expected to go on sale September 27.
