French magazine France Football has just revealed the list of the 20 highest- paid footballers of 2012. It would appear that not everyone’s suffering from the recession!
The list takes salaries, bonuses and endorsement deals into account. And the winner is…Lionel Messi! The Argentinean will earn $43.5 million in 2012. He is closely followed by David Beckham, who is set to pocket $41.5 million thanks to $34.2 million in endorsement deals. Cristiano Ronaldo completes the podium with $38.4 million.
Wayne Rooney is 5th on the list with $27.1 million while Lampard lands in twelfth place with $17 million.
