Maxwell has officially reclaimed his throne. After almost a decade away from the spotlight, the soul singer’s latest album, “BLACKSummers’night,” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Moreover, the “Fortunate” singer sold 316,000 units within the record’s first week. With this release, he has outsold his most successful album to date, 2001’s critically acclaimed No. 1 album “Now.”

“Bad Habits,” the follow-up to the “BLACKSummers’night” introductory single “Pretty Wings,” has been making the rounds on radio airwaves. In the new single, Maxwell’s timeless voice floats over trumpets and African drums for a classic track that simultaneously fulfills Maxwell nostalgia while breathing new life into the less than diverse, somewhat stale R&B/Soul scene of today.

Maxwell’s slightly updated sound is complimented by his refreshed look, ensuring that the sexy singer will be making ladies swoon for many years to come.
