TRACE Urban had the opportunity to meet the Queen of Hip-Hop and Soul, Mary J. Blige, in New York yesterday. After a listening session of her upcoming album “My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act 1),” she revealed details about what’s coming.
This album will be her tenth and is set for release on November 21. On November 23rd, the star will also celebrate the 17-year anniversary of her triple platinum album “My Life” with a New York concert. Mary recorded more than 50 songs for this project so she’ll bless the audience with “Act 2,” which will drop six months later. Right after this release, she’ll start a tour: she was very adamant about her desire to stay connected with her audience.
The diva gathered many hot features for “My Life II” Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Nas, and Beyoncé to name a few… All “bros,” she specified. The second single to be launched “Mr. Wrong” will feature Drake, an artist she admires. When questioned on her next move, she said fashion is an area she’s always wanted to explore.
