The newest installment of Nike’s ‘My Time is Now’ advertisement campaign has arrived. The short features Mario Balotelli in an English barbershop. The Manchester City striker sits down for a haircut and is given several trims influenced by the strange styles of previous football players such as Ronaldo, Carlos Valderrama, and Chris Waddle. Finally satisfied with a simple mohawk, Balotelli begins to leave the shop but on his way out is pushed by Mamadou Sakho, also sporting a mohawk, who sneers “See you on the pitch.”
Javier Pastore also appears in the ad. The short finishes with a link to a Facebook app which allows the viewer to get their own unique haircut. Submit a photo of yourself edited with one of the 10 footballer’s hairstyles and you could win a trip and trim at a real Nike Barbershops currently in Paris, Madrid, and Milan.
Nike is also opening a pop-up barber shop in Warsaw for the Euro 2012 Champion’s League finals.
