Liverpool is a genuinely unique club! The legendary football club is going to become the first to take part in a Gay Pride parade! According to the Guardian, Liverpool management are seriously considering sending members of the club to march at the pride parade that’ll take place next month in Liverpool.
The Reds will be represented by club staff and members of the Ladies football club. So don’t expect to see Steven Gerrard or Luis Suarez, but it is a nice gesture all the same, considering the taboo subject of homosexuality in football. Someday, we may even see rainbow flags floating alongside of Liverpool’s red ones, who knows? A forward thinking move from a club who has had some negative PR issues recently, let’s see if others follow suit.
